Indeed, I guess the journey is a good part of the fun, Nice system for sure. I looked up the CDP as I'd never heard of it and that too looks to be a very nice thing. If you could get us up some better pics of your set-up, (try Flickr), that would be even better too

Bridgette is running as smooth as silk now and sounds absolutely stunning with her new arm and cart. One positive from the grief I had with the Bardo earlier this year is that not only did Brinkmann sort the repair they also upgraded her to 2021 spec (originally built in 2016) free of charge, bonus. As for the 989s actual size, they're the same width as a door and 2/3 the height.

Thanks for the pics of the before and after upgrades so to speak, it certainly has changed, as I'm sure your bank manager can testify Sorry I'm not up to date with problems you have had with the Bardo, what a looker by the way, but it's great to hear about manufacturers doing the 'right thing' and getting the tt working as it should. I bet the system sounds fantastic now, some real quality pieces there, no wonder everyone likes your bake-offs. One question, did you move from the Manticore to Bardo in one fell swoop?

No, not a direct move, the Mantra was my original, deck bought in 87 not long after the photo I got an OL Aurora Gold mk2/Encounter 3C which was followed mid 17 by a Rock mk2. I got the Bardo in Feb 18 (motor unit only) for a stonking price on eBay, changed to a Conqueror 3C April last year then fitted the 12" Enterprise last month.

I remember reading when you changed the arm to a Conqueror C, did you mention moving to a 12 inch version on the forums, at least it doesn't come to mind, but maybe I missed something. Good idea to have a summer /casual listening amp, those valves can certainly give off some heat.

Yep mentioned the change to 12" in what's ya bit & bobs then the K/RSP a couple of days later. As to the grief with the Bardo. Tail-end of last year it started having an occasional scooping noise which got worse through January and the deck coming unusable early Feb. With bloody lockdown I couldn't Send the tt via UK importer Symmetry to Brinkmann. Finally got the all clear to send it at end of March as Germany was finally open. TT was sorted in around a week and sent back via UPS. HOWEVER 8 weeks after disparch it hadn't arrived at Symmetry and even UPS didn't have a scooby where on the planet it and £80k+ of other Brinkmann kit was (brand new tts inc a Balance & 2 Bardo, assorted arms & electronics). My Bardo finally turned up at Symmetry the end of June along with a couple of the other missing pieces after Brinkmann had put in an insurance claim to UPS + started the remanufacture of my Bardo and the other missing orders.
