What was the first music you listened to that you liked mine was my mums Nat king Cole, Tony Bennet etc. It would have been something from the Beatles. It was 24/7 in out house for a long time. I recall listening to Sgt Pepper on cassette. It was amazing, but also remember liking "morning town" by the Seekers..... There a cassette somewhere of me and my dad singing "Nobody Told me" on via a microphone on his Hitachi all in one player. Think I was 4..? Marked 1984

I remember I was about 7 or 8 and staying with my Aunt & Uncle for a week in the summer holidays. They gave me a windup gramaphone and some 78s to play with, and I ended up continually play 11 more months and 10 more days by Al Bowlly and Arthur Fields. I also insisted on playing it everytime I went there until that is I accidentally sat on the record and it snapped into several pieces, I was pretty heart broken at the time and kept asking them to get another copy, which they never did. Don't remember much music during my early years as the radio only went on on a Sunday eve so dad could listen to the bloody Mike Sam singers.

Most probably something from the Dave Clarke Five, I remember the song 'Bits and Pieces' that I enjoyed, and again the Beatles, something from 63/64.

My father was really into early jazz and blues, so something by Louis Armstrong Hot 5 or 7, possibly Bessie Smith. First concert I went to with him was Buddy Rich, absolutely amazing concert. His other love was those terrible stereo sampler LPs you could get in the late 60s, remember loads of them, people trying their best to sound as good as James Last, bloody terrible!!

Twinkle Twinkle, little star. I was quite young. And it was played on the record player, which forms my avatar.

TV theme tunes I think.
'UFO','The Saint','The Avengers' that sort of thing.
Hard to say it's that long ago.
My parents never listened to recorded music except what might come on the radio.
