Hi chaps,
I hate having to do this, it really is a last resort, but I'm having some issues getting in contact with Simon Williams of One Thing Audio recently.
Money has been paid to him over 3 weeks ago now with no activity past that.
I am fully aware he has suffered a family issue recently (just before the sale) which I have been more than sympathetic regarding, so I wrote off the first two weeks or so to let him get himself together etc, as in his words his head wasn't in the game.
No problem with any of the above and completely empathise so I just told him if he can come back to me when he can, it is appreciated. Although also in his words he did say he will get these speakers to me even if he has to deliver them himself, this was appreciated and actually filled me with a lot of confidence that all would work out fine.
Now here is the problem:
During this time he has been directly and actively responding to customers and canvassing for work all whilst telling me the above whilst failing to arrange any delivery or update me on the situation.
I have also suggested that he hand my sale to someone (he has staff around him) who is able to fulfill the obligations but as far as I know he has declined this option also.
Like I say, I hate having to resort to such measures but I've tried calling/emailing/leaving messages etc but haven't had anything back since last Wednesday after he promised he would arrange delivery. Nothing has been done and no delivery date is in sight.
Even if he actually can't deliver the speakers or fulfil the deal, keeping customers whom have paid, in the complete dark whilst continueing working practice and activities, I find unacceptable regardless of personal circumstances I'm afraid.
My take on it is that you're either in the right headspace to work or you're not. I don't mind either way but using one excuse for one customer (whom having paid a lot of money is waiting for updates and product) and clearly going against that excuse by demonstrating a desire to sell and advertise to new potential customers, is pretty low in my opinion.
I hope I've gotten the circumstances wrong and if I have missed something I would hold my hands up, but these are the facts from where I stand.
What are peoples takes on the situation?
