Hi all
I have been into music and hifi for many years, and various systems. Currently happy with set up, Project Signature 10 TT, Audio Valve Sunilda Phono stage, TT, Krell pre and power, Marantz KI Pearl CD, RPI/HifiBerry modded HAT for streaming, Wilson Benesch Vector speaker and various interconnects and cables.
I generally listen to vinyl, but some CD;s and occasional streaming. My music taste is varied and covers most genres. My music collection spans 60' through to the current day, but a lot in the 60s, 70's and 80's. I also have quite a taste for prog and phsycadealic.
Regards
Adrian

It's been a while since we chatted on AoS! Welcome to AA Alan rates that Sunilda very highly! Lovely rig by the looks of things. Oliver. Hello Oli, It has been a while as you say. Funny how things turn out, as you probably know I am considering a speaker change/upgrade along the line of your recent speaker acquisition. I have being chatting with Alan and Jason. Changing speakers again will be a big step for me, especially after my torrid history of changing speakers due to amp/speaker mismatch issues and room resonance problems in the previous home which completely clouded matters. However in the new home (3 years now), I no longer have resonating dot and dab walls to deal with which means everything sounds much more consistent with better clarity and detail,. The rooms not perfect. quite bit of glass, but does not seem to uplift the top end much. I did quite a bit of simple REW measuring and experimentation with sound absorbers and soft furnishings until I got it tamed as best I can and still be acceptable to Sue, it is our lounge after all. I am pretty pleased with the system generally considering the overall cost, although I wish I had not ventured into the 300B amp arena which did cost me several thousand resolving mismatch issues as mentioned. My system now sounds pretty good IMHO, it took a while to get there, the most recent change was an investment in some EWA cables, speaker and a bespoke Phono, this lifted things somewhat, but at a cost. Cheers Adrian

Welcome Adrian, wouldn't mind seeing a pic or two of your system, I'm sure others on here would appreciate that too. Here you go Antonio, the sofa sits between the speakers, they are about 8' apart(2.5m), and Krell KSA-80 power amp is sitting on the floor. It's a bit cramped but that is how it has to be. I move a comfy leather chair out to the optimum listing position when Sue is not around.

ajski2fly Thanks for the photo. Never easy when space is limited in modern homes and domestic harmony has to be maintained. I know your tt, is a bit of a beast as can be seen in your photo. One tip, don't bang your toes on that amp.

Hi Antonio,
The Pro-Ject Signature 10 IMHO is one of those unsung gems, and is excellent VFM, derived from the larger Signature 12. Pro-Ject I believed developed it to show what could be achieved at a reasonable cost, the arm I have found to be excellent, fully configurable and it is stable once set up, slightly odd as is a contrived Uni-Pivot. It works well with my Benz Micro LP-S cartridge, proof it is a good arm. Anyone buying one I would recommend they replace the standard walmart transformer with either Pro-Ject's or a suitable Linear PSU. I have found it gives great bass, depth and soundstage, what more could you want from a TT and all at a reasonable price, although I noticed over the last two years the retail price had increased by £1K.
